Why Peter Pfann joined exp Realty:

Peter has always been an early adopter of innovation and the use of improved access to tools technology and resources to provide better services and results both to his real estate clients as well as with the real estate professionals both as Broker, Owner and now as Coach, Mentor and Educator.

From licensed agent in 1987 at Realty World with its then innovative REALScope and Mall Display Units, then as an independent Broker Owner at the same Franchised Company, using its superior training and support resources to grow a brokerages from 35 agents to well over 100 in  challenged and competitive market in Victoria BC.

After selling that brokerage, joining Keller Williams as the 5th person in Canada with its innovative training and Million Dollar Agent approach and the introduction of profit sharing, was a natural step with truly a new direction in the real estate profession.

The challenges of “franchising” were a bit eXposed at KW as each office is and can only be as good as the local ownership and management, and locally after a good initial period, the ownership/management team was not ideal.

Peter joined and managed, what was then likely the first version of a “virtual” brokerage in BC Canada, with an owner who was a super guy and very creative and innovative, yet a bit to set in his ways to ever grow beyond his own limitations.

In 2006 Peter  learned that eXp Realty had some challenges in making a solid entry and their mark in Canada, but really liked their approach to tech, the cloud, revenue sharing, agent ownership, communication, education. 

By 2007 Peter started working behind the scenes to bring eXp Realty to BC Canada, which we then launched in early 2008, with Peter Pfann as their designated managing broker for the period until 2022 growing from 4 to over 1,500 agents.

With only one regret… To have joined eXp as a Managing Broker and not as salesperson licensee / coach, with the greater ability to attract and coach more agents personally, 

Peter has re-invented himself again to be fully dedicated to helping agents to start, grow and retire from a successful career in real estate with financial independence and life / work balance.

With the huge turn over in the real estate profession, it is clear that going the journey alone is not likely the best way forward, and exploring your options and assessing you opportunities often starts with a good hard look in the mirror and determining what you want to achieve and how you contemplate doing so and then investigate what opportunities exist in the marketplace to achieve your objectives.
